Omada Health adds Sachin Jain, M.D., MBA, Julie Klapstein and Adam Stavisky to Board of Directors

New board members provide deep clinical and commercial experience

 SAN FRANCISCO--August 1,  2024– Omada Health, the virtual-first healthcare provider is proud to announce the addition of three healthcare industry veterans, Sachin Jain, M.D. MBA, Julie Klapstein, and Adam Stavisky to Omada’s Board of Directors.

  • Sachin Jain, M.D, MBA. is a respected and innovative leader in healthcare with a background in both medicine and healthcare management. Dr. Jain currently serves as CEO of SCAN Group and SCAN Health Plan, Professor of Medicine at Stanford and as a practicing Academic Hospitalist with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. He has had an extensive career, including roles as President and CEO of CareMore Health and Aspire Health; Chief Medical Information & Innovation Officer at Merck & Co; attending physician at the Boston VA-Boston Medical Center; and faculty member at Harvard Medical and Business Schools. Dr. Jain has also held leadership roles at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where he was Senior Advisor to the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and currently serves on the boards of America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), Advantage Healthcare Services, and The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans. 

  • Julie Klapstein is a seasoned board member, advisor, entrepreneur. She currently serves as Partner Advisor for a16z and is the founding CEO of Availity, a healthcare IT company working to optimize the automated delivery of critical business and clinical information among healthcare stakeholders. Klapstein has over 30 years of private and corporate experience in the healthcare IT industry, having held executive roles at Phycom, Inc, Sunquest Information Systems, SMS, GTE Health Systems, and AT&T Information Systems, and having served or currently serving on the boards of directors of Amedisys, Alpha II, MultiPlan, NextGen, Oak Street Health, and HCIM. 

  • Adam Stavisky joins the Omada Board, having most recently served as the SVP of U.S. Benefits for Walmart, where he was responsible for Walmart’s strategic vision and for delivery of all benefits for 1.6 million associates across its U.S. businesses. During his tenure, Stavisky championed system improvements to drive better patient outcomes for Walmart employees. Earlier in his career, Stavisky spent more than 20 years building benefits consulting businesses at several national firms, including Fidelity Investments, Mercer, and Aon Hewitt (formerly Hewitt Associates).
